River and Racetrack: AURENA Tech Team Event 2026

Once a year, we leave our home offices behind and bring the entire AURENA Tech team together in one place. This year’s gathering was particularly special: six new colleagues joined us for the first time, making it a perfect opportunity to get to know each other beyond video calls and sprint planning.

Day in the Mountains and on the Mur

The event began at a more relaxed pace with a hike through the Styrian landscape. Our destination was a rustic alpine hut, where we could enjoy the surroundings, play some card games and recharge before the programme became considerably more active.

The next day, we headed to the Mur for rafting and stand-up paddling. Both activities required balance, coordination and teamwork – and made sure that nobody remained in their comfort zone for long.

International Menu Created by the Team

Back on dry land, it was time for one of the established highlights of our annual gathering: the international team cooking event at Gasthof Eberhard.

Working in groups, AURENA Tech transformed the kitchen into a collection of different culinary regions. The resulting menu reflected the international character of our team, with e.g. Detroit-style pizza, Hungarian sour cherry soup, British fish and chips, and international dumpling variations.

Racing Finale at Spielberg

For the final part of the event, we swapped hiking shoes and paddles for helmets and go-karts: At the Spielberg Ring, the team competed in a proper kart race. We concluded the event at the Bulls Lane restaurant, surrounded by the unmistakable spirit of the racetrack and with plenty of moments from the previous days to look back on.

As a remote-first team, our annual team events are an important opportunity to strengthen personal connections beyond digital meetings. Our Team Event 2026 offered all of that – and gave our newest colleagues an eventful introduction to life at AURENA Tech.
